I took one deep breath after my system’s issues was finally resolved. I have been successfully using my Compaq’s laptop over a longer period of time, but last weekend it just froze on me all of a sudden. It was an intermittent issue, and I was unable to use it properly, and whenever I started up any of the software applications, it used to hang up in between.

I tried to remove some of the recently installed software applications, but nothing worked out. It was frustrating, as that was the first time; I ever had any technical difficulty in my laptop. I straightaway dialed Compaq number, to get immediate resolution, and finally got the solution to my system’s issue.

The Compaq help technician on the other side instantly detected the root cause of the issue, and performed a couple of troubleshooting steps for hard reset, which took me out of that technical difficulty within no time, so here are some of the steps that I followed to get rid of the issue:
  • Step 1: Initially, I was told to disconnect all the external peripherals attached to my laptop such as printer, memory card, USB devices, which facilitated the technician to quickly detect the root cause of the issue.
  • Step 2: After that, I was instructed to detach the AC adapter, and remove the battery. In order to release the electricity charge, I kept the power button pressed for 10 seconds.
  • Step 3: Next step was to connect the AC adapter again to the laptop without reconnecting the battery cover. After sometime, I released the power button and reconnected everything all over again and restarted the system. Laptop was operating normally; I immediately turned off the machine and reinstalled the battery pack.
The above-mentioned troubleshooting steps for hard reset corrected my system’s issues. If you are also facing the same technical challenge, you can initiate the given steps on your own before contacting Compaq support, which certainly save lots of your precious time.
